Nuvaring BLOOD CLOT/EMBOLISM HEALTH ALERT
|
Nuvaring has health risks relating to blood
clots in the legs and lungs, which may lead to embolisms,
stroke or heart attack. The FDA forced a warning for birth
control patches relating to a similar problem and several
young women have died as a result of complications. The drug's
warning section now notes that the these types of birth control
expose women to higher levels of estrogen than most birth
control pills.

Nuvaring, developed by Organon, a multi-billion
dollar European pharmaceutical company, is a prescription
birth control device. It releases the hormones estrogen and
progesterone into the bloodstream. The problem is that these
high levels of hormones can cause blood clotting issues, such
as the formation of an embolus (a blood clot) and this could
cause severe health consequences. These types of health risk
were known and documented for several years, raising the question:
why didn't Organon inform Nuvaring
users about these risks?

The hormone fluctuations caused by these
drugs can cause numerous severe health problems:
- Blood Clots
- Strokes
- Heart Attacks
- Myocardial Infarction
- Cardiovascular Accidents
- Pulmonary Embolism
- Cerebral hemorrhaging

Nuvaring makes Organon over a billion dollars
a year and there is an enormous temptation for Organon not
to disclose the health risks for such a profitable product,
but it is their duty to do so. Furthermore, the FDA has remained
silent to date on this glaring health risk. When
the government and pharmaceutical companies fail, it is up
to individuals to contact lawyers to protect their rights.
